Title:
CGW 4-6-2 #916 - Chicago Great Western
Description:
This rebuilt 4-6-2 Pacific was converted from an earlier 2-6-2 by the Chicago Great Western shops in 1920. Specs - 69" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure and an unimpressive 27,904 lb tractive effort. Scrapped in the first part of 1950. No date, location or photographer listed for this older photo copy but the coaling tower in the background looks like the one at the Olewein, IA, yards.
