Good looking photo of the little American-type locomotive with a head of steam and ready to roll. This little loco lasted until the 1950's and was sold to the Ferdinand RR after being replaced by the GE 45ton unit . Description: |
This little switcher served the 7.7 mile short line near Corydon, Indiana until being sold to another tiny indiana short line, the Ferdinand RR sometime between 1950-52. It's sister engine, #9, was the last to be sold to the Ferdinand RR in 1953 after being replaced by a GE 45 ton loco. If anyone knows the builder of this loco, please let me know. Would like to document accurately Indiana railroading as much as I can! |
