CB&Q 0-6-0 Class G-10 581         
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 0-6-0 Class G-10 581 at an unknown location on June 8, 1954, photographer unknown, print by Gordon C. Bassett, Chuck Zeiler collection. Galesburg, Illinois was chosen as the location based on CB&Q 1935 and 1952 Locomotive Assignment Sheets. Number 581 was built by Baldwin in 1906 (c/n 27495) as a 2-6-2, class R-4 number 2040. It was rebuilt in December 1929 by the CB&Q to an 0-6-0, class G-10 number 581, and sold for scrap in December 1954.
