I am pretty certain one of my classmate's father was a fatality in this incident

There was one fatality. The driver was thrown several yard out of his pick-up truck.

If this BO GP38 is scorched, then I'd like to see what happened to the p/u. It's always bad when somebody dies in a pissing contest with a train, whether it be members of the train crew or people in the vehicle.
