| Much as I enjoy photographing the Blue (formerly Hiawatha) Line, I relish seeing freight rail action on the venerable Milwaukee Rails which still parallel Hiawatha Avenue from south of Lake Street to the Princess Depot at Minnehaha Park. Here the MNNR crew is taking the 54 south of 38th Street to do some switching on a gray (and abnormally cool and windy!) Monday morning in May. |
