NY 10 Panorama  Contributor's Pick!
I must have climbed up on one of the yard buildings or something to get this-try doing that nowadays!! This overhead view shows the NY 10 that had been waiting at QD behind a pair of ST units, now with the NYSW power on and ready to back out onto the Tier at QD for the trip east. It also shows the scenic beauty of the Southern Tier, which on a nice day can be really appealing. Its a truly beautiful place when its not raining. We're looking south from Bevier St(the actual street, not just the yard). The overpass is I 81/NY 17; the hills beyond are south of the Susquehanna River. In the right place, they afford a stunning view of downtown, or Vestal, depending on where you are.

Gary L General Yep, when there in 1992, I heard the stories about people climbing on buildings, cars and such. And moving power as well. So many were being arrested, the local judge raised the fine for trespassing from $50 to $500. People from Europe were laughing in his face and going right back for more photos. Wild times. 7/5/2015 8:39:31 AM
