PRR 5881, EP-20, 1956
Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in the engine house at South Amboy, New Jersey, on 29 April 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5881, an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. It looks to me like it's had a close encounter of the third kind!
