PRR 9218, BS-6A, 1949         
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Frankford Junction in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 26 June 1949. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9218, #9049, and another unit whose number is not recorded. #9218 and #9049 are both BS-6A switchers built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 660 horsepower each. #9218 was built in December of 1948 and retired in May of 1965, while #9049 was built in May of 1949 and survived into the Penn Central Railroad era.
