NOPSI CANAL STATION
A collection of New Orleans Public Service streetcars was parked at NOPSI’s CANAL STATION and BUS GARAGE in the 2800-block of Canal Street. By the time this photo was taken, these would have all been CANAL line cars, as this was the only car line which operated out of here. The cars which can be identified were the 912, 907, 922, 920 and 906, which had been built by the Perley A. Thomas Car Works in 1923 and 1924. The 912 was scrapped in June 1964, right after the CANAL car line was replaced with buses; but all of the other cars were still in service in 2020 on the ST. CHARLES line.
