RSR GP40 #101 - Rochester & Southern RR
Here's another example of a boomer loco. Originally built by EMD in July of 1967 as NYC #3056, it merged into the Penn Central as their #3056 and then into the Conrail roster as CR #3056. Breaking out when Conrail was dissolved, it landed on the Rochester and Southern roster as RSR #101 seen here in its road grime orange and black livery. Sometime after this photo around 2008, it would be transferred to the Buffalo & Pittsburgh roster as #101. It would also get an upgrade to GP40-3 while there. Doug Boyd took this sharp color slide.
