PRR 612, K-4SA, 1957
Here is an image of a photo by Edward Kaspriske that was taken near Asbury Park, New Jersey, on 20 October 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #612, a K-4SA (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata as a K-4S during April of 1917, later equipped with a front-end throttle and reclassified as a K-4SA, and retired in April of 1958 after 41 years of faithful service. In this context, it's powering a Rail Fan Special. Edward Kaspriske Collection.
