Blackhawk. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken near Chicago, Illinois, on 9 March 1969. Photo Caption: "FM H24-66, PRR #6700. Chicago, Illinois. 3-9-69." Penn Central #6700 is an H24-66 built by Fairbanks-Morse as Pennsylvania Railroad number "8700" in August of 1956, rated at 2,400 horsepower, and renumbered "6700" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Fairbanks-Morse and Lima Diesels ~ Eastern and Canadian Roads" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (902-25).
