Parked in one of the bays of the Minnesota Transportation Museum is Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern business car #2352, "Gopher". Its long history started when it was built by the Barney & Smith Car Company of Dayton,, Ohio in 1890 and named "Grand Marais". It started as a 60 foot wooden business car for the Manistique Railway, a Michigan logging railroad. From there, it went through several dynbamic changes. |
