| From the bright orange paint but the distressed,soiled silver paint, the loco might be in the process of being repainted. It would retain the orange & silver scheme instead of the dark green and orange that most WP locos were receiving. . The loco wa completed by EMD on 1/27/1950 originally as WP F7A 920A. It was renumbered to 913A in October of 1971. Upon retirement on May 5, 1981, it was donated to the California RR Museum. It now resides there with ocassional outings. This is a Bob Gottier slide. No date or location was given but it appears to be during the time taht the WP Stockton shops were rebuilding it. |
