Album Info:Nice panoramic photo of FWWR GP7u #1500 by an unknown photographer. Due to the tragic RRPA hard drive crash in 2025, I have finally been able to re-post this lost photo on 2/3/2026.

FWWR GP7u #1500 - Fort Worth & Western RR
Title:  FWWR GP7u #1500 - Fort Worth & Western RR
Description:  Posed by a turntable in Fort Worth, TX is Fort Worth & Western GP7u #1500 taken by an unidentified rail fan. The locomotive was originally built as an EMD GP7 by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway with the road number #2785. The unit did not remain a standard GP7u. It was rebuilt from its original form into a different kind of locomotive: a 2GS14B model for FWWR, which uses its frame and serial number, and was assigned the new number FWWR #2014. A GP7u designation typically means the unit was rebuilt with some upgrades (the 'u' often for "upgraded"), which in this case was a more extensive modification into a Genset-type locomotive. As of 2025, the loco is still an active member of the FWWR roster.
