Alco-Schenectady built this 0-6-0 USRA design yard switcher in February of 1916 as Chicago & North Western #2159 (serial #55531, class M-2). The loco was last listed on the October, 1952 roster and then disappeared - presumedly scrapped sometime in 1952. Specs - 51" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 21x28" cylinders, engine wt of 174,500 lb and tractive force of 37,000 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo which is now part of my rr collection. Based on other photos online, the date and location are approximate. |

Alco-Schenectady built this U.S.R.A light 0-6-0 in July of 1919 as Chicago & North Western #2634 (serial #61331, class M-3). The loco served near the Clinton, IA area. It was last listed on the October, 1952 roster but gone after that - presumedly scrqapped. Specs - 51" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 21x28" cylinders, engine wt of 163,500 lb and tractive force of 37,000 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo which is now in my rr collection. Based on other online photos, the location and date were approximates. |
