Baldwin built Illinois Terminal 2-6-0 #19 in March of 1926. The loco was ordered to replace smaller steam locos and served well for nearly 24 years before being scrapped in June of 1950. Specs - serial #59073, class 19, 52" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 22x26" cylinders, engine weight of 182,000 lb, tractive effort of 37,026 lb. The entire class of 5 was sold for scrap in 1950 when diesels took over the ITC duties. No date, location or photographer was given for this photo unfortunately. |
