Description:  In the middle of a string of IC power is Illinois Central SD40-2 #6115. Built by EMD in February of 1976 originally as Burlington Northern SD40-2 #6723, it slid over to the Illinois Central roster around 2011. Current status is unknown. This is a photo from the Dennis E. Conniff collection and is now part of my collection.

Description:  At first glance, another black IC unit behind #6115 almost makes the nose of #6115 look like an Alco "Alligartor"! Illinois Central SD40-2 #6115 started out as Burlington Northern #6724. It was built by EMD in February of 1976. Description:  The prominent nose "I-ball" is a strikingly handsome logo for the Illinois Central IMHO. Illinois Central SD40-2 #6115 started out as Burlington Northern #6724.
