NS 12T

         

I wrote down 13T but I don't actually remember which way they went. Maybe the 40T/41T were the backwards ones...

Tom Beckett General 12T was the Allentown-Buffalo train, 13T its opposite. This looks like 13T, given the NS power, and that you caught it behind the L. 40T/41T were the Enola-Toronto pair, 41T the westbound, and almost always got CN power. They later went to a D&H routing north of Binghamton, and became 30T(south) and 31T(north), terminating in Montreal. 1/28/2026 6:29:51 AM
Tom Beckett General 12T was the Allentown-Buffalo train, 13T its opposite. This looks like 13T, given the NS power, and that you caught it behind the Leprino Foods plant. Up til 1994, there was a semaphore here, which the train would be passing momentarily. 40T/41T were the Enola-Toronto pair, 41T the westbound, and almost always got CN power. They later went to a D&H routing north of Binghamton, and became 30T(south) and 31T(north), terminating in Montreal. 1/28/2026 6:30:51 AM
