ICG GP30 2253
Description:
ICG GP30 2253 dead at the Shops, Paducah, Kentucky, June 25, 1986, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Built during December 1962 as GM&O GP30 503 (c/n 27907) on EMD Order 7635, it became ICG 2253. It is seen here at the ICG's Paducah Shops which, during my visit, were shut down. The Shops were later sold to three gentlemen who formed VMV Enterprises. This locomotive was rebuilt by VMV into a road slug for CSXT, numbered 2251.
