Train #12 was a hard train to photograph, at least for me. I lived in Naperville, and by the time #12 got there, it was about 8:45 PM, too late to expose film. But I happened to be in Galva on this date (about 100 miles west of Naperville), and caught #12 pausing for its scheduled station stop at 6:26 PM CST (its 7:26 DST locally). The Nebraska Zephyr was a mail train with passenger accommodations, in this case, the articulated trainset from the second Twin Cities Zephyr. The June 1965 Official Guide lists the following equipment for #11 and #12: Observation, 30 Parlor seats.
