We caught this yard switcher working the Waterloo Central yard when we got off the train. This switcher was built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in January of 1959 as Pacific Great Eastern S13 #1002 (serial #82549). It bounced to the following: BC Rail #1002 > BC Rail #502 >Vancouver Wharves #826 > Ontario Southland #502 > and finally to Waterloo Central Ry as their 1002 in 2018. It was repainted in the Canadian Pacific-inspired Tuscan and grey summer 2020 and renumbered to original PGE road number. |
