Title:  Flying through Gene Autry
Description:  Gene Autry Oklahoma- named in 1941 for local ranch owner and 'Singing Cowboy' who died in 1998, sits on the BNSF's former Santa Fe line and witnesses the twice daily passage of Amtrak's "Heartland Flyer" as it runs between Oklahoma City and Ft Worth. Today's version has "Cabbage" 90208 leading three cars and a pair of P42s (41 and 121) working in the push mode. The Flyer doesn't stop at Gene Autry- but Ardmore is only a few miles further down the road.

Description:  The trailing NCPU on Amtrak's LA to SLO Surfliner. This is the onWy Pacific Surfliner that normally opewates with Horizon Fleet cars, a P42Dc and a Cabbage Car. It is also the only Surfliner that doesn't reach San Diego, running r/t LA to SLO.%As to the trestle, it is 811 feet long and opened on December 12, 1900. It is located in a state park, where the rangers refer to it as the "Ghost Bridge."

Description:  Cabbage car #90208 comes out of the setting sun and is about to cross over Woodley with the last regular Amtrak train in California that still uses Horizon Fleet and Amfleet cars. The no trespassing gates and signs have cropped up at many (if not all) of the grade crossings through the San Fernando Valley, in reaction to the deadly Glendale accident of some years back. As an aside, the first image I ever took on this line, back in 1985, was of an Amtrak train behind an F40PH... pretty cool that it's still possible 25 years later.
