Another ACe and GE combo bring up the rear of C-MLMEBM1-20. The ACe releases quite a bit of smoke as the DP fires up and shoves gently on the rear of the train heading into Tamora. With that, my time had almost run out, and with nothing else generally close, it was time to head into Lincoln to meet the rest of the group. A total of 13 trains this afternoon, bringing the trip total up to 74. My original plans were to quickly jump onto the Creston side east of Lincoln and follow that to my next stop in Creston, IA. But, the Ravenna Sub had thoroughly impressed me enough with its traffic levels this afternoon/evening that I knew there was no way I couldnt start my day west of Lincoln again. This was a great way to spend what had already been the end of a phenomenal conference! Now, to meet the rest of the group for one final time. |
