MILW 4-6-0 #1020 - Milwaukee Road
Title:  MILW 4-6-0 #1020 - Milwaukee Road
Description:  In September of 1902, Baldwin built this 4-6-0 ten wheeler as CM&StP #411 (serail #20930, class B4) but the loco was renumbered several times after that. In 1907 to CM&StP 1761 > in 1912 to CM&StP 4361 > in 1920 to CM&StP 2620 and finally in June of 1938 to CMStP&P #1020. When the diesels took over the Milwaukee Road, this loco was sent to the scrapper's torch in December of 1955 after a long 53 year service record. No exact day in 1940 was given so an approximate was used. This is an Hanft photo now in my collection.
